I have taken the initiative and have searched the Internet for vinyl record retailers that sell quality vinyl records and have compiled these resources and incorporated them into this web site. Here you can find rare vinyl records, picture discs, limited edition releases, 45 rpm records, classic LP's from the past, new vinyl record releases, 78 rpm records, EP's, Old Vinyl Records For Sale or Trade, factory-sealed jazz recordings, Audiophile equipment, brand new 45 RPM records and just about any genre of music that is available.
Please email me if you find any 'broken' links and I will remove the record shop from the site. Additionally, if you have any problems with a particluar vendor, email me and I will see if I can help to resolve the problem. These are quality online record retailers located all around the world and have satisfied customers for many, many years. Happy vinyl record hunting!
I have been collecting vinyl records for over 35 years and love the sound, album cover art and the whole experience that goes along with this historic audio format. I work out of my home and reside in Oostburg, Wisconsin with my wife, three dogs, two cats. I have two sons who are not living at home and, they too, share my love of records. I have over 10,000 vintage records in my collection and I am always on the lookout for more (much to my wife's dismay).
I have also written an ebook called "The Fascinating Hobby Of Vinyl Record Collecting" which is available as a FREE download at my website www.collectingvinylrecords.com. The ebook talks about how vinyl has never really "gone away" and that there is a whole new audience for the vinyl record and a new generation of collectors. I talk about why people collect, what they collect, why vinyl is by far the best format for recorded music, where to purchase collectible records, grading vinyl, cleaning vinyl records, album cover art, buying and selling used records, price guides, insurance for your collection, interviews with vinyl record sellers and collectors and give the readers some links to look at that only enhance and clarify the points I am making. I have updated the ebook several times to include suggestions from readers and try to keep up with the latest 'gadgets' that convert vinyl to CD or other formats.
I also write articles for online publication and some are posted at www.recordcollectorsguild.org, www.rockartpictureshow.com, www.musicstack.com and many, many other sites on the Net. I am also published in Jerry Osborne's newest Rockin Records price guide, a moderator for the Jerry Osborne vinyl record and music forum called the 'Vinyl Village' and do band reviews and biographies for the independent Internet Radio Station www.ilike2rock.net. There is also a five-part feature at www.about.com with Dave White. Additionally, I am working with the founder of Vinyl Record Day, Gary Freiberg, to help promote this wonderful muscial medium and to help to educate the public on the importance and historical aspects of the vinyl record.
I have just launched another new site called www.vinylrecordappraisals, where I can inform a person of exactly what their old records may be worth if they decide to sell them or for insurance purposes. All in all, I keep very busy :)
Adding Vinyl Record Stores
Have you had success finding vinyl records at a vinyl retailer that is not listed? Please email me with the resource and I will add it to this fine list of vinyl record retailers.
